The cummins 6bt is basically a smaller version of a 15L semi truck engine, and semi truck engines get overhauled at 1 million miles. Maintenance is a huge key to long-term reliability of any engine.

Love my GX470 with 240k.... Summer car is a lightly modded 2013 ZL1 with 40k..... I have had a LS400 and a GS300..... I keep playing with the idea of selling the ZL1 and building another LS400. Last one I had gave to my mom because it is such a reliable car I don't have to worry about her calling me with car troubles. Swap a 1uz or 3uz is my vote. Love my LS and JZ, but man is the UZ Family a sweet heart engine family.

Pretty much any car made in the past twenty years can hit 500k easily, I drove thousands of older KIAs with 400-500k on them to auction, I drove an older Impala with 700k on it in mint condition and thousands of domestic trucks with anywhere from 500k to 900k miles still running great, they dont get much at auction if they are even bid on, but they are a dime a dozen a day.
